About the Awards

The future wealth and prosperity of UK plc is dependent upon a competitive and determined mindset. The way organisations are best placed to incorporate that mindset is through strong leadership, good management and a system of continuous improvement and learning. These awards are a benchmark against which organisations will be able to measure their capabilities in these areas. Year-on-year they will grow to raise the organisational leadership and management bar, recognising good organisations with sustainable strategies.

The CMI National Management & Leadership Awards is the most up-to-date recognition platform, specifically judging organisations on the fabric of their structure in addition to financial success. Sustainable commercial success is built on the foundation of polished processes, good communications, continuous learning and good governance, and it is these elements which will form some of the judging process.

There are 11 individual categories that can be entered, each having its own specific criteria, but all the awards are underpinned by the overarching values of Integrity, Sustainability and Achievement. The CMI Gold Medal Award and the CMI Chartered Manager Award are by nomination and examination only. Organisations can enter as many of the 11 categories as they wish.
