CMI National Management
and Leadership Awards

FAQs

  • There are several reasons organisations enter awards, but some of the most compelling reasons are the ability to measure your performance against other organisations outside of your sector, to recognise and celebrate achievement, to identify success within the organisation, to establish a differentiation from your competitors, and of course the widespread positive PR which surrounds these awards.
  • Winners of the CMI National Management & Leadership Awards do not only benefit from the prestige and kudos associated with being an award-winning company, but they also get access to all of our sponsor community, get to network with some influential people and have the opportunity to celebrate at the glittering awards ceremony as a guest of the sponsors.
  • Entering is simple, download the entry form, tell us which category/ies you want to enter (or leave us to choose) select how you want to pay, making a note of your entry validation number.  You complete the forms and return them via email to us before the deadline date; it really is as simple as that.
  • A nominal entry fee of £100 + VAT is charged to ensure that we have total commitment from entrants. This is a robust and meaningful awards programme and it can only remain so if entrants complete and submit their entry forms. By paying an entry fee entrants are more committed to completing the process, which ensures the programme is robust and significant.
  • Entering this awards programme offers enormous value for money. Your investment of £100 will start the process of your organisation effectively taking an internal audit of its success. For possibly the first time in a long time, you'll be able to take a snap shot of your organisation and concentrate on the things you are doing well. Even if your application is unsuccessful, you'll still find the process of recognising your own achievements as a worthwhile task.
  • You can enter any category or as many as you wish using just one form. There are a total of 11 categories open for entry, and aside from the two SME categories organisation's can enter any, and as many as they excel in. There are two categories for individuals, one for team, and the rest are for the entire organisation. If you have any doubts, please feel free to email us at enquiries@nmlawards.com and we will try to guide you.

  • We only publicise those organisations that are named as finalists. Organisations not making it to the short list will remain confidential. You really have nothing to lose by entering these awards, even if your application is unsuccessful it does not detract from the things of which your organisation is most proud, it merely means that there were more compelling entries on this occasion – you should definitely re-enter next year. All entrants are notified by email of the status of their entry after the closing date.

  • Yes. Part of the purpose of these awards is to raise the management & leadership bar, to recognise professionalism and best practice, and to this end we will promote in the media all finalists and the eventual winners. Our media partnership with Professional Manager magazine means that 81,000 influencers and decision makers will learn of your success, that is without the other media coverage that the awards will generate, and without your own efforts. All finalists will receive information on how best to exploit their achievement as part of their information pack when notified of their finalist status.
