Your Statutory Rights
Cooling-off Period
Purchases
At NML Awards we want you to be delighted every time you enter. Occasionally though, we realise that business imperatives will require you to change your decision and you may need to cancel. By law, customers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from a purchase of an item within seven working days (a cooling off period). This applies to all of our products except for digital items (eg: e-Books) where the item has been downloaded.
To cancel your purchase within the seven-working-day cooling-off period, please email us at enquiries@nmlawards.com and head your email Cancellation of Entry. Please attach any entry form/s already sent to you and delete any copies from any devices upon which the entry form may have been downloaded.
Please note that we cannot accept returns if you deliver them to us by hand.
If you wish to cancel after the seven day cooling off period, there will be a sliding scale of administration charges applied as follows:
- Cancellations up to 15 weeks of the closing date:
- Administration charge will be 30% of invoice amount
- Cancellations up to 10 weeks of the closing date:
- Administration charge will be 50% of invoice amount
- Cancellations up to 7 weeks of the closing date:
- Administration charge will be 75% of invoice amount
- Cancellation beyond this period will attract a 100% administration charge
One an organisation has been named as a finalist, it cannot be removed from the finalist listing, therefore cancellations cannot be accepted at this late stage.
Please note that you will be responsible for any costs incurred by your organisation in the event of a cancellation.
As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of an entry, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that entry (minus any relevant administration fee. For more information on your right to withdraw from your purchase within the seven working day cooling-off period, visit the Department of Trade and Industry's website.
